PARTNERSHIP AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Objectives:
To develop and implement a PE & School Sport Strategy for each school, linked to whole school development and appropriate external providers
- To raise the profile of PE within all schools through a coordinated approach
- To develop Partnership Schemes of Work for all schools
- To work towards the government's PSA target of 2 hours entitlement within and beyond the curriculum for all young people
To improve PE and school sport programmes by establishing and developing links within and between the families of schools (particularly around the KS2/3 interface).
Objectives:
- To increase the number of competitive and non-competitive events for primary schools
- To provide a smooth transition for young people from primary to secondary schools
- To provide opportunities to improve KS2/3 transfer of information
To provide new and enhance out-of-school-hours opportunities for all young people in the partnership, including out-of-school-hours learning, non-competitive participation and competition.
Objectives:
- To increase the range of OSHL opportunities in each school, with an emphasis on under-represented groups
- To increase the number of young people participating in OSHL activities across the Partnership
- To develop a common playground initiative for primary schools
To increase all young people's participation in community sport through creating and strengthening links with sports clubs, leisure facilities and community providers.
Objectives:
- To increase the number of young people attending community holiday programmes in the Partnership
- To increase the use of community leisure facilities by attracting those young people not already accessing opportunities
COACHING AND LEADERSHIP
To provide training, support and deployment opportunities in leadership, coaching and officiating for senior pupils, AOTTs and teachers.
Objectives:
- To increase the number of young leaders and Volunteers and Paid Coaches working within the Partnership
- To introduce structured support networks for young leaders, teachers and volunteers and paid Coaches
- To establish opportunities for young leaders to organise and deliver structured activities
RAISING STANDARDS
To raise standards of pupils' achievement in all aspects of their school life, through increased participation and improved performance, motivation and attitudes.
Objectives:
- To establish a common assessment policy for all Key Stages, with an emphasis on KS1 and 2
- To provide relevant and worthwhile CPD opportunities for all adults working within the Partnership
- To develop a common "Participation & Achievement" award system for all schools
- To develop and implementĀ a Partnership Gifted and Talented policy for PE
